We are a fully owned subsidiary of Scania and were founded to support Scania in the transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses, and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions. About the Analytics team
The analytics team's mission is to enable our organization to be data-driven. Our challenge is to merge and harmonize information to enable our stakeholders to absorb the information and act. An important piece to achieve this is our cloud-based data warehouse which is the source for analysis and reporting for our customers.
We are a small, co-located team in central Stockholm, which emphasizes collaboration and our initiatives. Through individual curiosity and willingness to help one another we find the best solutions to the challenges at hand. The team strives to make development as easy and efficient as possible.
Your profile
As a strong candidate, you are engaged in all stages of solving software engineering problems. You want to understand the rationale behind a feature request and like conceptualizing, discussing, implementing, testing, and deploying your solution. You have at least 3 years working experience in object-oriented or functional programming (most preferably Scala) as well as Git or other code versioning tools.
We work with several key technologies connected on a cloud-based platform. These include:
• Microsoft Azure
• Apache Spark
• Scala
• SQL Server
• Azure Data lake analytics
• CI/CD in Azure DevOps
You should have practical experience with some of these technologies and related concepts, and be eager to learn more about all of them along the way. Furthermore, you have expertise in either traditional data warehousing using relational databases or with the newer paradigm, separating data and compute.
Apart from technical skills, you must also have a university degree in software engineering or similar and be fluent in English.
In the Analytics team, we don’t just automate for the rest of the company, but do so internally as well. An eye for automation opportunities in our environment and clever adoption of build and release pipelines is something we value highly.
