We believe technology is a key accelerator in a modern stewardship approach, you will play an important role in defining our future capabilities and establishing our policies, standards, and guidelines. You will also take on the key role as data steward for our enterprise data, working closely with other data & analytics teams, ensuring a sustainable data foundation for the company.

What you will do

You will coordinate our transformation towards trusted data, taking on a role as a change agent, guiding the organization hands-on in common practices around data quality and stewardship. You will collaborate with business partners and product teams across the organization with the goal of expanding data stewardship to new business areas and regions. You will foster and grow the ‘trusted data’-technology roadmap, inspired by industry innovation and best practices. You will also facilitate efforts to ensure trusted data is recognized as an integral part of all agile product development.

At the same time, you will ensure vital business data is managed throughout its lifecycle according to policies, guidelines, and processes, working with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify business opportunities for leveraging data stewardship and quality services and taking on strategic data quality improvement initiatives.

You and your skills

You will have several years of experience within data management, governance, and quality management (cataloging, profiling, assessment, cleansing, monitoring, improvement programs etc.) and have the passion to take it to the next level to accelerate transformation in large organizations. You will also have experience coaching decision-makers and have worked with agile methodologies such as SAFe, Scrum or Kanban.

As a person, you are a team player that believes collaboration is the key to success, you are highly motivated and passionate about data-driven innovation and monetization, you have a can-do attitude to cope with ambiguity in a high-paced global environment. You are motivated by Volvo Cars values, culture, purpose and acknowledge how data has the possibility to enable the freedom to move in a personal, sustainable, and safe way.

You naturally have great communication skills, furthermore, you can effortlessly network within the organization and build close relationships with stakeholders. You will have great change management skills and be comfortable with promoting change across all levels of the organization.

You will have good knowledge and understanding of data privacy regulations and data management risks related to cyber security, and formally you will have a BSc or equivalent experience in a relevant field. You are fluent in English, oral and written.
