Data Governance Lead

Telia Finance is establishing a new data and analytics organisation, and together with that we are now opening for a new role – Data Governance Lead. In this role you will be responsible for establishing and driving the data and governance agenda consistently across Telia Finance.
Telia Finance is an independent company acting as a finance engine for Telia Company. We are a smaller organisation with about 120 employees and this position is based in Telia's HQ in Solna, Stockholm!


The role
In the role as Data Governance Lead, you will get the unique opportunity to be responsible for establishing our Data Governance as well as Data Quality Management functions at Telia Finance. In this role you will implement policies and standards for core data assets such as metadata, reference data, master data and our business glossary, allowing for the active management of high-quality data throughout the entire data life cycle at Telia Finance. You will mature our data assets and governance capabilities according to the long term needs of Telia Finance. You will also be responsible to provide the means for Telia Finance to fully understand the nature and quality of the data under its management. You will secure tools and mechanisms to evaluate, prevent, and remediate defects, to ensure that the quality of data meets the requirements of our business processes.
We are a subsidiary of Telia Company, with ambition to establish a closer partnership to the group analytics function. You will therefore actively collaborate with the group analytics function to leverage their knowledge, tools, and processes to accelerate our Data Governance journey. You will be responsible to manage decision making forums with representatives from different business areas in Telia Finance and together make decisions to further the Data Governance Agenda at Telia Finance.


Responsibilities:
Establish and enforce data policies and standards
Ensure management of regulatory requirements and compliant use of data
Ensure a common understanding of terms and definitions for data and information
Ensure design and implementation of Master Data Management functions and processes
Ensure a common understanding of content, quality, and rules for data under management
Define and ensure the implementation of a strategy to achieve and maintain the level of data quality required to support the business goals and objectives of Telia Finance
Support business with data cleansing activities.



Is this you?
You have about 3 years' experience in the world of Data Governance and Data Quality
You are a great communicator in English with the ability to explain complex tasks in a simple manner
You have experience of setting up processer, standards, frameworks, and documentation regarding Data Governance
You are a team player with great collaboration skills
Knowledge of privacy laws and regulations concerning Data Governance
Experience of managing forums and decision-making bodies with different stakeholders
Any experience in the financial sector is considered a plus!
