To be successful in this role have proven advanced training in information technology, business information management or equivalent. You have a minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience as a data manager or in a similar assignment. You have also probably experience from Agile working set-up? You are experienced in working with data queries. In addition, you have strong documented leadership skills and experience from leading in an interdependent way. You might even have had your own team?


You have knowledge in following areas:
• extensive knowledge of the principles of data management and –administration
• IT-systems and high-tech databases
• fast-moving data technology landscape
• the requirements of data management systems that centralise data from different platforms and enable agility and flexibility to respond to customer needs
• requirements from common applicable information policies, rules and legislation (e.g. GDPR)
• understanding of relationships and dependencies between data areas
• familiar with DAMA (Data Management Association) and preferably CDMP certified.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Data Management Leader you will oversee the various data systems and drive efficient acquisition, organisation and storage, and usage of available data within the country. You will also ensure accurate, trusted, and relevant data within IKEA, through operational data lifecycle management and quality activities, thereby optimising the business value of data.
You will:
• enjoy working with an outstanding team of digital professionals
• be accountable for the implementation of Ingka´s end-to-end data governance framework.
• secure global solutions are developed with local regulations, standards, and cultural expectations.
• contribute relevant input to activities within IKEA’s data acquisition, data processing and data storage happen according local and corporate regulations.
• monitor data trends in the country, including customer perceptions of data usage.
• implement data governance/management processes focusing on data standardization to improve data quality
• support and provide input into the implementation of policies, guidelines (including GDPR compliance), and requirements for data management and maintain data management plans and operating instructions for complex business systems and architectures
• monitor and follow up data quality and compliance to data management standards.
• be responsible for overseeing data systems (solutions containing data) within country according to governance framework – and enabling optimal usage and securing acquisition and storage of available data.

• work across initiatives within the country and across Ingka, steering towards efficient and effective use of data
In this role you will report to the Country Digital Manager.


ABOUT THIS WORK AREA
In 2019 we started a new Digital organisation, expected to be the local business partner responsible for Digital, working as a seamless part of the global Ingka Group Digital organization. We are accountable to lead and drive the Digital agenda and transformation. As an organisation we aim to ensure IKEA Digital products and technology are delivered with excellence to meet the needs of customers and co-workers to enhance the whole IKEA shopping experience.
We have built up an effective and efficient Digital organisation to support IKEA business processes by maintaining, developing, and supporting smart, simple, and reliable Digital products and technology. Our footprint in the Swedish Retail organisation, is much stronger than ever before, and we are now a natural part of the governance structure, influencing our future with the digital roadmap on all levels, functions, and units. Knowledge of data is and will be a key part of our work in the future, and by making use of Big Data more than ever before to inform business decisions and gain deep insights into customer behaviour, trends, and opportunities for creating extraordinary customer experiences.
