Data Platform Developer

Your Mission
As a Data Platform Developer, you will take ownership of Epiroc's data architecture, overseeing its full lifecycle—from platform selection and technical design to development, testing, and implementation.
You’ll focus on expanding and refining Epiroc’s data landscape by building and managing essential components, technologies, and applications that align with the company’s standards and drive operational excellence.
Your role will also include maintaining and enhancing the enterprise data platform, from data ingestion and engineering to implementing data catalogs and ensuring security compliance.
You will facilitate access to data for analytics needs, translating IT strategies into actionable solutions. As a key representative in various councils and committees, you’ll play a vital role in aligning data strategies with organizational goals.
Collaboration is central to this role. You’ll coordinate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure seamless operations across Epiroc's enterprise data system.
Your Profile
You hold a university degree in a relevant field or have equivalent expertise gained through experience in the Data and Analytics domain.
Your background includes working in development teams, ideally within Agile environments.
You have advanced SQL knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft analytics tools.
Your proficiency extends to data modeling, database administration, and using Microsoft Azure technologies, including Databricks, to develop machine learning and analytics solutions.
Experience in T-SQL scripting, DAX, Power BI, and Data Mesh concepts, along with data governance and cataloging, is a strong advantage.
A solid understanding of systems development and project management methodologies is essential.
Your communication and collaboration skills enable you to thrive in multicultural, global teams, ensuring effective coordination with users, system designers, and developers.
Proactivity, organization, and a drive to meet and exceed expectations characterize your work style.
You enjoy finding innovative solutions and ensuring your technical expertise supports business needs effectively.
Location and Travel
This role is based in Örebro, Sweden, or Bangalore, India, with occasional travel requirements.
