Scania is currently undergoing an exciting transformation from a traditional truck manufacturer to a provider of complete sustainable transport solutions. IT is a crucial part of this transformation as Scania’s success is depending on flexible and efficient IT solutions that support current and future business requirements.
At Scania we have been doing Data Lake for a number of years now, so there is a certain stability in our deliveries, but the new needs and the rapidly changing cloud area is a constant challenge and to help us with this, we need you, an experienced Cloud / Data Platform Product Owner.
We are a group responsible for the Scania Data Platform and our mission is to make data available and usable and as such being an enabler for data-driven decisions as an integral part of everyday work for all of Scania.
You will be an important part in driving the shift towards a Data Driven Scania and help Scania utilise the power of Software and Data.
This means that you will be in the forefront -representing Scania internally (as well externally) and promoting the Scania Data Platform.
You will feel that you are in the centre of an important transformation journey of a big company where IT and Data is everywhere, and that you have a mandate to maximize the value of data for Scania and influence the Data Platform Strategy going forward.

Your mission
Yyou will be the bridge between the stakeholders, the development- and support teams. You will strengthen the vision for the capabilities of our Data Platform, On Premise and in Cloud. Ensure our focus on Security and Cost and set up KPI's for the follow-up to ensure the quality of our deliveries.
You will manage and prioritize the needs of our vast number of stakeholders and balance them to our need to deliver a robust, automated and cost-efficient platform. You will also manage the development to utilize the team(s) in the most efficient way.
Today we have loosely defined small agile teams, where we have a mix of deep seniority and juniority. We are hungry and passionate about what we are doing, and passionate about supporting our teammates and colleagues.
Examples of “daily business”
• Keeping track of our backlog and planned deliveries and project involvements
• Work with the Architect and the Agile lead in making sure we do the right thing, the right way at the right time for our deliveries to be successful
• Communicate all key deliveries, commitments and changes, including requirements, schedule, and scope
• Be the contact to our customers, understanding and managing their needs and expectations
• Managing team capacity to match planned deliveries
• Ensuring incidents are handled within the agreed timeframe and that action is taken to prevent future occurrence
Who you are
• At least 2 years’ experience as Product owner.
• Communication is one of your strengths.
• You bring energy to the team and push the team to reach new levels.
• You see problems as opportunities and embrace deviations and continuous improvements.
• Experience of working in the Big Data sphere and Data Engineering is a merit
• The right candidate also has technical interest and is eager to learn more.
In addition to Swedish, you need to be proficient in written and spoken English.
