Group Trucks Technology (GTT) is the global technology development organization with 7000 employees for all truck brands in the Volvo Group. This means that GTT is the place to be if you want to contribute to the development of new technologies and solutions. Needless to say, data is the new gold and working with data in a responsible and pragmatic way is crucial in developing all the exciting future products we have lined up. As a natural consequence the area of Data Privacy is growing in size and importance in product development in GTT.
The central Data Privacy team at GTT is a great team of Data Privacy professionals and we are now looking to add several new driven colleagues. You will be part of setting our strategic data privacy priorities as well as driving and implementing ways of working, to guide and assure relevant data privacy compliance and regulations in the Volvo Group and Volvo Group Trucks Technology organizations.We believe that high performance comes from enjoying what we do, combined with curiosity and an ability to act.
This is how you will make an impact
You will be the focal point for data privacy questions in our organization and have responsibility for the ongoing data privacy compliance activities. GTT will fill several roles in the GTT Data Privacy Office:
A GTT Data Protection Representative
A GTT Data Privacy Manager
A Data Transfer Expert
Within each of the roles there will be assigned areas of responsibility, but we also strongly believe in supporting each other and working together to achieve common targets.
The overall responsibilities for the team is to:
Further strengthen the data privacy framework and capability within GTT by driving activities in the GTT Data Privacy roadmap.
Drive investigations and initiatives as needed to facilitate, promote, and protect Volvo Group data privacy.
Ensure that GTT is informed regarding data protection rights, obligations and responsibilities.
Increase Data Privacy awareness and competence and conduct trainings.
Work together as part of the GTT Data Privacy team setting and achieving team goals.
Who are you, our new colleague?
As this job is all about collaborations, we first and foremost need you to be a team player with good communication skills. You will coordinate, lead, and collaborate with all parts of Volvo Group Trucks Technology as well as the rest of Volvo Group, driving Data Privacy and compliance activities while inspiring others to do the same. This requires you to be service minded and supportive in order to handle stakeholders, partners, and customers.
We also value your holistic and problem-solving approach, as you will play a key role in the organization to identify and visualize pragmatic but robust solutions to new challenges. As this job includes managing urgent as well as long-term initiatives, we also believe it is important that you can work with a degree of uncertainty and that you demonstrate good prioritization skills.
Qualifications required to be successful in these roles:
Extensive experience in Data Privacy, data transfers, vehicle data and IT systems in a complex global product development organization.
Excellent knowledge of Data Privacy, GDPR regulation and other regulations affecting data protection and their practical applications.
Experience from information security principles and practices, information risk analysis and risk management.
Experience in developing and delivering trainings.
Practical experience in OneTrust or equivalent Data Privacy tools.
Fluency in English, written and spoken.
Data Privacy certifications are considered a merit.
