Data Process Specialist, External Sourcing & Manufacture

External Sourcing and Manufacture (ESM) is accountable for the sourcing and supply of externally manufactured products into the AstraZeneca network. The products we handle within ESM include both APIs, Formulated & Packed products and are sourced from suppliers located in a number of different countries and supplied to customers across all regions.



We are now looking to welcome our next Data Process Specialist.



We fundamentally believe that our collective best work occurs when our teams come together in person to collaborate, innovate, inspire and challenge each other. You will work together with your team on site in either Södertälje, SWE or Macclesfield, UK.



What you'll do

As a ESM Data Process Specialist you will work across the External Supply and Manufacture, leading and supporting different initiatives with data and supply chain process expertise. This is delivered in close cooperation with other ESM roles, such as External Supply Leads and their teams, External Operations Teams, Data Associates, other Data Process Specialists etc…

You will support the wider department in ongoing improvement work in their process area by provision of detailed process area expertise and/or local process expertise. Accountable to implement, maintain, support and develop tools, processes and guidelines within the area of responsibility in ESM.



Core activities include:


* Champions process changes and supporting super users and end users in acceptance and implementation of changes to their way of working
* Maintain, develop and apply data processes relating to supply in line with AZ global business standards
* Providing detailed business process expertise and representing ESM in contribution to share improvements and challenges

* Ensure adherence to execution of processes working with line management including review of KPI´s to monitor process performance & corrective measures
* Identifying improvement opportunities in existing processes and developing business cases for sign off and prioritization supporting out digital portfolio
* Share best practices from other sites/functions internally in ESM.





What you'll need


Essential criteria:

* SAP ERP and APO knowledge
* Project management skills
* Significant experience of operating in a global environment
* Able to lead strategic projects and initiatives across multiple sites/teams
* Strong influencing and communication skills
* Experience in training teams and individuals
* Understanding of data principles and an appreciation of delivering digital initiatives

* Lean experience
* Demonstrable experience of delivering continuous improvement
* Experience of working with contract manufacturing
* Supply Chain knowledge
* Supply Planning knowledge
