The Data Protection Office supports a broad range of functions and teams within the company, including our R&D, Premium, Ad Sales, and Marketing organizations. In this role, you'll support our project managers and privacy lawyers in administrative work. You'll collaborate with business, marketing, and R&D teams to build products that align with data protection requirements and achieve product-market fit.
Our work is innovative, groundbreaking and always evolving, so it'll be up to you to continuously assess and guide the teams on legal issues using a flexible and pragmatic approach.
What you will do
Support lawyers and project managers in tasks connected with Spotify’s data protection program.
Publishing content on Confluence (part of the Atlassian software suite).
Reviewing training material and technical log file data on GitHub.
Supporting the Operations Manager with responding to simple data subject responses in Jira.
Reviewing data access requests and coordinating process updates.
Registering a DPO at local data protection authorities.
Collecting metric data.
Organising meetings and monitoring emails and Slack requests.
Doing background research on privacy cases for lawyers and operation managers.
Support subject matter experts for assigned data protection topics, such as reviewing guidance materials and coordinating events.
Work closely with internal teams to provide integrated support on Spotify’s data protection program.
Who you are
Preferably have a bachelor’s degree in technology, business or law. Willingness to take certifications in data privacy, such as CIPM, CIPP/E, CIPT.
1+ years of relevant experience working as an assistant or project coordinator.
You have a willingness to acquire knowledge of data protection laws and learn new tools, such as JIRA, GitHub, coda.io and OneTrust, and learn to run SQL queries.
You're comfortable working at pace and in areas where there isn't any precedent to rely upon, have a proven willingness to dig in on the details of projects and work well as part of a team — both with lawyers and with non-legal partners.
You are looking for an entry-level position and are passionate about privacy.
