About the position
The Data Protection Coordinator (DPC) is a key role within Region EMEA .
By creating awareness, providing advice regarding compliance aspects in business and by supporting the documentation and review of processing activities, you will strongly contribute to our ambition on deliver in our ambition to be a centre of excellence in Data Protection matters.
What you’ll do
You will be a part of the DPC organization within Volvo Cars working for the EMEA region in supporting the markets in data protection matters and contribute to the development of processes and routines for building up a centre of excellence together with our DPC colleagues in the markets as well as collaboration with the DP Organization at Volvo Cars.
Your main responsibilities will be:
• Advice and support the DPC in the EMEA markets
• Communication to / from markets about news and changes in data protection legislation and other matters
• Implement data protection strategies and ensure compliance with data protection laws
• Records of processing activities documentation
• Data protection compliance checks and risk assessments
• Support the drafting of Privacy notices, ensuring methods of communication is appropriate
• Other data protection related matters
• Train and increase awareness within the region
• Participating in Volvo Cars DPC network
Who are you?
You have strong knowledge and 2-3 years experience in working with data protection matters under EU data protection law and good understanding of privacy transparency requirements.
You have the ability to analyze and make recommendations, collaborate with diverse stakeholders and drive continuous improvements. You have a good understanding of privacy by design and how to operationalize data protection compliance, and are familiar with privacy-enhancing technologies.
Experience from working with the European markets
Good communication and training skills.
Languages skills ; English Fluent, other European languages is an advantage
