What we are looking for
The Uniper groupwide Data Protection department consists of an international team of 25, located in Germany, Sweden, and UK. Our vision is to make everyone within Uniper familiar with data protection requirements in a smart and appropriate way. We are a young, heterogenous and engaged team with specialists for data protection laws and IT related questions. Our Group Data Protection Officer reports directly to our CFO and leads the Data Protection department functionally. Furthermore, we work closely with data protection coordinators and other stakeholders within Uniper to ensure the direct interfaces to our business.

What will you work with?
The job includes the following tasks, which are carried out independently by the employee:
- Advising the Swedish legal entities of the Uniper group on the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), national and international data protection requirements; on data protection issues
- Examination and approval of and recommendations for the use of new applications, based on requirements from the GDPR, other data protection regulations and, if applicable, co-determination requirements
- Use of any data protection management systems in Sweden and group-wide
- Advising the departments on the implementation of applications, which are carried out by the department
- Review and negotiation of contracts such as e.g., order processing, joint controllers, EU standard contractual clauses and other data protection agreements
- Support in the creation of deletion concepts as well as the implementation of deletion requirements by the department
- Assessment of data protection risks and implementation of data protection impact assessments including reporting and management of open measures (if necessary)
- Execution of data protection checks – e.g., analysis of data protection processes, procedures, and applications
- Processing and resolve data protection violations
- Writing data protection concepts as well as other documentation on data protection such as guidelines, standards and processes that are required at national level
- Support for awareness campaigns on data protection, such as e.g., the preparation of training documents, the implementation of training courses in the specialist areas
- Creating and performing an annual data protection report to the local board of management and connect with the annual Uniper report on data protection by group data protection officer and other relevant data protection officers.
- Optimization of the Swedish data protection organization, e.g., through the involvement of Swedish data protection coordinators
- Willingness to travel
Uniper is positive to a flexible approach around remote working based on the conditions of the business and the individual employee.
Uniper is part of Sweden's critical infrastructure and our operations are covered by, among other things, rules related to protective security, export control and nuclear non-proliferation. We will therefore carry out security clearance of all positions and complement with register control for security classified positions, according to the Protection Security Act. Health and drug tests are performed if applicable.
Who we are seeking
We are looking for a team-player with a confident appearance. You take initiatives and have a hands - on mentality and the ability to work in an international team. Your working methods are structured and you have strong communication and coordination skills.
For this role you also have:
- Completed studies or completed education in the fields of economics, business informatics, industrial engineering, computer science, mathematics, law or comparable courses of study.
- Relevant professional experience in data protection and/or information security as well as the willingness to find your way in a complex corporate environment.
- Strong IT and process affinity
- Knowledge of data protection requirements (EU Data Protection Regulation, Swedish Data Protection Regulation, etc.)
- Knowledge of information security management and the relevant standards, e.g., ISO 27001
- As we work in an international environment you have very good presentation and communication skills in Swedish (fluent) and English
- Desirable: data protection certification, certification as Information Security Officer or ITSMS auditor
