Our ICE Data center unit is growing, and we continue to expand our team.
Therefore, we are now looking for you who are a data science engineer-researcher or a software developer with interest in data engineering. We believe that you have a great interest in information technology systems, and that you are ready for your next development step towards working in an international environment.
About the role
Our operations in Luleå have Europe's leading and largest laboratory for tests and experiments for data centers, AI and related systems. Here, we work together with our partners and customers from both industry and academia to develop sustainable and energy-efficient information technology systems for cloud services, and telecom edge networks as well as innovation data platforms for example the space data lab for earth observation using sattellite images. As a data science engineer-researcher in our team, you get the opportunity to work in a growing and leading institute with great development opportunities.
You will be an important team player in a committed team with high competence and which values working in close cooperation, both within the team and with our partners and customers. In your role as data science engineer-researcher in HPC, space data, and software systems, e.g. Kubernetes, you will primarily work with projects in an international context, software platforms and services for companies in data processing and AI systems and development of new ideas for space data, datacenter and distributed software systems . For these areas, you will work with development in innovation and research projects in data services, data analysis and IT software systems.
By participating in developing solutions and strategies for AI, HPC, space data and software systems, you contribute to the development of Swedish industry so that it is at the forefront internationally and can meet the needs of customers and other stakeholders. The assignments have great variety, which brings new exciting opportunities every week. In your role, you also have contact with our customers and partners, and we believe that you look forward to being one of the organization's external faces in AI, HPC, Big data and software systems.
Your most important tasks are mainly to:
- Develop the RISE ICE Datacenter offering by working with development of ICE infrastructure and information systems.
- Experimentally develop AI and software systems in projects together with colleagues.
- Together with the ICE Datacenter team develop new ideas and put them into practice.
- Work with international contacts to develop RISE ICE services and projects.
Who are you?
As a data science engineer or researcher with us, we believe that you are a passionate and solution-oriented person who likes to take on new opportunities. As the role involves contact with customers, international partners and other stakeholders, we believe that you thrive in social contexts and like to transform ideas into practical use and understanding. Through your understanding and flexible way of working, you come to your right in an environment that is dynamic. You have a master's degree in computer science engineering or equivalent, with a focus on AI, software and IT systems. A PhD in a relevant area is a plus or you have preferable a few years of work experience in data science product and software development. As our partners are both in and outside Sweden, we see that you have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in both Swedish and English.
