The field of data science is fast-paced and ever-changing. Consequently, our daily work often involves researching and evaluating new tools and methodologies to strive for improvement in how we might work better with data. As a Data Science Lead, you have recent experience and extensive knowledge of ingesting, storing and processing large datasets utilizing a public Cloud provider. We imagine you currently work alongside developers and data scientists in cross-functional teams where you contribute with your expertise on building, maintaining and automating data pipelines. You ensure, together with data scientists, ML or analytics models are put into production so that they quickly and continuously provide value to the business.
Skills and requirements.
The following are a guide and we’d still love to hear from candidates with more, less, or different experience, provided the requisite skills can be demonstrated. However, it is a requirement that you have a valid Swedish work permit and are able to work in Stockholm.
Experience of at least 5+ years as a data scientist, performance optimization, and DataOps/MLOps preferably in the tech industry.
Strong mathematics skills (e.g., statistics, linear algebra)
Excellent skills in writing testable and maintainable python code.
Top-notch communication skills, ability to clearly formulate and articulate the problem at hand in a simple, actionable way (especially to stakeholders that are non scientists).
Experience with performance tuning and optimization with respect to latency and throughput
Hands-on experience with common data science toolkits and machine learning models like linear/logistic regression, k-means clustering and neural networks
Experience deploying and maintaining working models in production environments.
Able to visualize data in the most effective way possible for any given project
Experience with writing web APIs
Familiarity with data structures
We would love if you also have:
MSc or PhD in data science, physics, statistics, computer science or a related quantitative field.
Experience with big data technologies such as Apache Hadoop and Spark and Kafka.
Familiarity with Docker
Experience with IOT data processing and predictions
Knowledge of other programming languages such as Go, R, and Scala
Experience with SQL
Experience with infrastructure and devops in AWS, GCP, or Azure
