We are currently looking for a Data Scientist to work in the DICE Team (Data Science for R&D Acceleration). DICE supports our product development organization by using data science to increase the existing processes' efficiency and effectiveness. The team develops and maintains tools, ETL pipelines, and dashboards used by thousands of users in Ericsson. It also drives technology leadership projects, where groundbreaking ideas are developed and evaluated.
The role
This role has an individual contribution. The ideal candidate will be a go-getter and problem solver who is passionate about building and deploying data science-based solutions.
You will contribute to the DICE team in the following ways:
Work with the team to deliver end-to-end data science-based solutions (e.g., machine learning solutions, data pipelines, and dashboards), from ideation to industrialization
Experiment, evaluate, and select adequate data science approaches to solve R&D-related problems
Design and implement innovative data science solutions effectively
You will report to Product Development Leader.
To be successful in the role you must have
M Sc. in Computer Science/Engineering, Statistics, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Physics, Software Engineering, or equivalent
At least one year of professional experience in data science, especially statistical modeling and machine learning
Solid understanding of statistics and machine learning techniques, including their underlying mathematical concepts and industry trends
Solid production engineering development experience with Python, SQL, Sklean, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or any of the prevailing AI/ML frameworks
Proficient understanding of ETL processes, model lifecycle management, and engineering design standard methodologies
Being able to create complex dashboards, primarily using Tableau
A knack for creativity and the ability to formulate problems and solve them independently
An interest to constantly learn, communicate, interact, share information, and willingness to help others
You might also have the following:
Knowledge in data science applied to software engineering improvement
Knowledge in MLOps
