Data Scientist

The demand for our 3DAI™ City platform is increasing. As a result, we are now introducing a new data science team at Univrses, and we're hiring an experienced Data Scientist to join and help build the team. Are you the person that we are looking for?
Your role
As our new Data Scientist, you will build and lead the 3DAI™ City Insights team. Your role is to be the link between our technologies and our commercial applications. You will set up and extend the tools needed to summarize, analyze and report insights from the datasets generated, and thereby add value in different customer operations.
The Data Scientist position offers great opportunities for you to make an impact on the Univrses’ operations. By extension, you will influence the development of technologies that have the potential to make society better, more efficient and fundamentally more safe.
Working with the 3DAI™ City platform
3DAI™ City is a Computer Vision platform that provides access to large amounts of real-time urban and roadside data. As our Data Scientist, your job is to analyse the data sets provided and communicate insights to Univrses’ stakeholders as well as to the company’s clients. You will start with loosely defined problems and build hypotheses about what data to gather and what analysis to perform. You will cooperate closely with our team of managers, designers, scientists and expert engineers to extend and improve the data collection and analysis tools. You will work with different customers to develop 3DAI™ City such that business value is delivered consistently.
Your responsibilities
You will have a good understanding of our technology as well as our clients’ needs
You will model urban and roadside data to support the client’s business directly
You will build complex queries to solve real-world problems in urban and roadside environments
You will ensure that the 3DAI™ City is optimized to support large amounts of data

Who you are
You have a solid background in data analytics, and a proven track record of deriving business value from data.
You have strong analytical skills and mathematical background
You are experienced with statistical analysis and machine learning
You have experience in working with large datasets and relevant tools
You have a MSc or PhD in a relevant field (E.g. data science, computer science, mathematics, engineering, physics)
You have a solid background of working in with Python for numerical and statistical analysis, data handling and visualizations

Bonus
Experienced with geographic programming tools (e.g. geopandas, folium, QGIS)
Experience with other visualization tools
Experience with computer vision
Knowledge in other programming languages such as C++ and Java
Experience with AWS-based solutions
Experience with Docker
Experience with Postgres, PostGIS
