About the role
Electromobility is one of the fastest growing areas within Volvo Group – and being at the forefront of transport solutions requires people with insight and customer focus. Does it sound like a challenge for you? Good, we’re looking for a creative data scientist for our dynamic section Verification, Simulation and Safety. You will be part of a dedicated team providing world-class electromobility solutions for products such as trucks, buses, construction equipment and marine applications. Additional responsibilities are:
Cross-functional collaboration with colleagues from different parts of the entity – from sales and purchasing to component design
Understanding customer usage and performance of our products
Providing solutions throughout entire product life cycle


We are looking for you...
…who is born a team player and has cross-functional collaboration at heart. You have a clear can-do attitude and the will to learn, look further, and truly understand the nature of our customers. Your experience within simulation and analysis is solid and you have a proven track record in automotive or electrical system development. Working in a team or even building and leading one is your natural habitat.

Requirements:
MSc in Engineering (Computer science, Electrical sciences, Physical sciences, Statistics)
Machine Learning & AI knowledge
Data mining and data preparation function development
Programming skills (Python, SQL, R)
Data Visualization (Qlikview, PowerBI, Matplotlib, Bokeh)
Statistical modeling and machine learning
Vehicle system (Embedded SW) knowledge
Proven experience in product health monitoring (monitoring of battery, electric motors, electric components, etc.)
