Job Summary
What do our customers expect? How do they use their trucks? We want to know more and need a Data Analyst to support!
You will join a global team within Complete Vehicle that has the responsibility to create knowledge from data.


Your creative thinking and problem-solving skills will contribute to solving some complex challenges in the areas of data mining and knowledge building. You will find new ways to understand our customers’ usage and their expectations on their vehicles. Furthermore, you support the strategic roadmap for both analytics methods and the future tools & platforms.


You will be part of a team, working on analytics platforms, mostly using data from test vehicles but also from vehicles in the hands of our customers. Getting a good understanding of the vehicles, especially the electrical architecture, and the measurement systems is important.


Core Responsibilities
Develop and use data processing/analysis pipelines, from data preparation to final presentation of results.
Drive your own projects and coordinate advanced analytics team efforts as needed.
Use and promote a data-driven workflow, as well as the potential of applying advanced analytics, for the benefit of the Volvo Group.
Co-lead the data analytics community of practice, helping to build a space for knowledge sharing and cooperation.
Develop and implement methodologies to assist feature leaders and test engineers in setting the right requirements and improving test methods.

Skills & Competencies
You possess analytical and statistical skills, an inquisitive attitude and attention to detail.
You routinely use programming as a tool for problem-solving. Good knowledge and experience in several of the following tools is preferable:
Python, pandas, Spark, Git, Power BI, SQL
Machine Learning techniques

We value experience working in the automotive industry. Previous work with large real-world datasets, from data collection, cleaning and preprocessing to analysis and visualization of results is beneficial.


You have the ability to successfully translate business problems into technical solutions, and communicate effectively with customers, engineering colleagues as well as senior management. You collaborate well in a team environment, have good listening skills and show empathy.


Education Detail
Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent is minimum required
Doctoral Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent would be an advantage
