What we do at Detectify
Detectify strives to scale ethical hackers knowledge by offering a web application security scanner that helps businesses stay safe. Our founders are among the best ethical hackers in the world - having hacked tech giants such as Google, Facebook, or Dropbox. Today, we collaborate with 150 to 200 handpicked white hat hackers to continually help clients like Trello, Spotify and King make their websites more secure.

Based in central Stockholm, Sweden, we are one of Stockholm’s fastest-growing startups with more than 80 employees from over 32 different nationalities. In November 2019, we secured €21 million in a Series B round, together with Balderton.

What our data team does
We work horizontally throughout the company to promote a data-driven culture. Our main mission is to empower other teams by providing access to information and recommendations to promote impactful decisions.

Role and Responsibility
As a Data Scientist, you will have the unique opportunity to work in a team that is responsible for understanding business needs and translate them into data-driven tools and recommendations. Your stakeholders will be all the other tech, marketing and sales teams.

In this role, you will:



- Translate business needs into quantitative terms and data requirements
- Identify and formulating technical requirements to our tech team
- Support and steer our product team with insights and recommendations
- Design, prototype and continuously improve advanced statistical models
- Approach each new quest with an analytical mindset and a critical approach to data and processes
- Collaborate with other data scientists to shape innovative solutions to complex problems thanks to thorough and highly comprehensive exploratory analysis, recommendations and model prototypes
- Communicate results in a clear and effective way to technical and non-technical stakeholders




Some of the languages and technologies that we use are Python, e.g. pandas, scikit-learn, SciPy, SQL, NoSQL, Elasticsearch, AWS Athena, D3.js and third-party tools like Google Analytics.

Who you are
You are a creative person who sets and achieves goals in a collaborative and stimulating environment. You evaluate and reflect on your own solutions and seek recommendations to improve your skills. Your background



- Education in math, statistics, physics or similar quantitative disciplines
- 2-3 years of experience with some or all the technologies mentioned above
- A genuine interest in learning and experimenting with new technologies
- You are a team player
