That’s the reason we are looking for an experienced data scientist with a passion for Analytics and Data Science.
We also believe you are a curious person and want to go from idea to practice. You will be involved in developing our products by discovering the information hidden in vast amounts of data from primarily our electrical vehicles.
The Role:
Good storytelling skills to communicate the result of the analysis to the relevant stakeholders
Create automated anomaly detection systems and constant performance tracking
Be involved and develop algorithms for edge computation
Work with high resolution data from test- and customer vehicles to understand usage and support engineers with product development.
Collaborate and network with stakeholders within and outside Volvo.
Identify and integrate new data that can be leveraged through our product capabilities, and work closely with the engineering team in the development and improvement of the data
What we do know about you for sure is that you need to be a team player with eagerness to try and change through collaboration, co-operation, sharing insights, solutions and ideas.
Other criteria for the position are:
Master of Science in Data Science, Statistics or Computer Science or close to these areas.
Experience in Analytics with time spent on driving and implementing Advanced Analytics/Data Science insights, preferably in a global environment.
Experience of working with relevant technical tools, platforms and systems such as Python, GitHub, Cloud analytics, SQL, DataBricks, KNIME, Power BI etc.
Experience in working with Spark and high-resolution time series of data is a bonus
If you have previous experiences of product development within a product organization and/or worked with predictive maintenance, it is a plus.
Experience in analytics from service- and after-market business in the transport business is a bonus.
Basic knowledge in Unix environment
Experience from anomaly detection in time series data.
Nice to have or “I would like to learn” skills could be:
ML in more specific terms: Clustering, Pattern Recognition, Decision trees, Neural Networks, Object detection models and more
Edge technology
Multi variate time series data
Transfer & Reinforcement learning
Efficient Data Cleaning techniques
