About us
Founded in 2015, Instabox is a Sweden-based tech company with the mission to make online shopping easier. In 2022, Instabee was founded after combining Budbee and Instabox - two leading last-mile delivery companies with three consumer-facing brands: Budbee, Instabox, and Porterbuddy. Instabee serves millions of consumers across Europe with convenient deliveries and is on track to become the leading European e-commerce enabler. Always with the merchant at heart.
We’re fast, both in terms of parcel delivery and when it comes to growing our business. So far our journey has taken us from Sweden to the rest of Scandinavia and parts of continental Europe, but we have no plans on stopping anytime soon. As we continue to expand, the complexity of Instabee grows in parallel. With that in mind, we’re now looking for a Data Scientist to help us govern our journey ahead!
About the role
In the Instabee forecasting team we develop complex statistical models to drive accurate predictions with a direct business impact. Following an end-to-end approach, we collect and preprocess data, develop and validate models, and interpret results to provide invaluable insights to stakeholders across the entire organization. By leveraging advanced analytics and statistical techniques, the team generates reliable forecasts that inform decision-making in areas such as route planning, resource scheduling, personnel planning, and more. Our expertise in utilizing machine learning algorithms and comprehensive data analysis empowers businesses to make informed strategic decisions, optimize operations, and drive overall business success.
To do this we’ll expect you to:
Building forecasting models using time-series and other machine learning methods
Build algorithms and optimization tools to be deployed for use by the business
Design and build data models that support business processes but are agnostic of our ever-changing source systems
Demonstrate an appetite to try new approaches, staying up to date with market trends and advances in data processing techniques
Be confident in promoting your great work both internally and externally by inspiring others so we can all learn and feed off each other
Your direct colleagues will be our data scientists, analytics engineers, data analysts, and the broader tech department, so you’ll have colleagues with whom you can share ideas and support you
To succeed in this role you probably:
Have 3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist working in a modern tech environment
Enjoy solving problems and delivering recommendations
Experience in Time Series models (strongly preferred)
Experience in building and deploying machine learning models
Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
Is able to use data visualization techniques to clearly communicate your analytical findings
Enjoys presenting findings and business concepts both verbally and written to others
If this is you, we really can’t wait to meet you!
