About us
Piotrode Medical AB is a medical technology company with a mission to revolutionize the way ECG is captured and analyzed. Founded in 2018, Piotrode has a small and agile team of passionate people working towards better cardiac care to patients around the world.
In today’s ECG systems, noise in the ECG signal is a major problem when monitoring patients during their daily activities. The noise is causing false alarms and potentially missed diagnosis. Piotrode has developed new innovative technologies which dramatically reduce the noise in the ECG, enabling accurate and reliable remote patient monitoring in the homes of patients.
At this point, we need to expand our team on the signal processing side, looking for a data scientist/algorithm engineer to help us on the journey ahead.

About the role
Are you motivated by working in a research and development team where we make new discoveries and innovations by challenging the traditional approach of biopotential recordings? Do you enjoy making novel discoveries and turning them into meaningful computational problems? Then this may be the job for you!
You will be mainly responsible for developing our groundbreaking signal-processing methods, which represent a key capability for both internal R&D and product development.

About you
We think you are a passionate problem solver, eager to learn and to push the boundaries of what is possible to achieve. Furthermore, we believe that you thrive in the realm where academic research turns into practical applications that help people to live healthier lives. We envision that you have extensive experience with algorithm development and digital signal processing.

Required qualifications.
Multiple years of experience in developing algorithms and signal processing methods, preferably with a biosignal focus.
Extensive experience, fluence and excellence in one or more of the following environments: MATLAB, Octave, Python, LabView and similar applications.

Desired qualifications
A Ph.D. degree in signal processing with a focus on biosignals or a closely related fields is a strong merit.
A strong and documented ability to write and publish papers in scientific journals.
Experience with machine learning, neural networks, pattern recognition and artificial intelligence is highly valuable.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
