Data Scientist - Applied AI analysis of IoT devices

What you will do as a Data Scientist
As a Data Scientist, you will work closely with business stakeholders and enable data-driven decision making using your skills in data analytics and presentation. You will also use IoT device diagnostics data to find insights that will help improve our AXIS products. In addition, with your skills in programming and data engineering, you will bridge the gap between Data Science and Data Engineering and produce high-quality enriched data for Axis.

This is an important role, performing deeper analysis in selected areas at the same time, build-up domain knowledge together with other experts from other parts of the company. You will have a broad interface, covering R&D, Product management, Operation and sometimes even with external suppliers when building up domain knowledge.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for you that is already working with data today that has a supportive mindset (such as data scientist or data engineer). Suitable education could be Computer, Mathematic, Statistics, Physics science/engineering or similar. Python, SQL programming and Linux are common knowledge for you and Git is a natural way of working for you. Experiences with infrastructure of data storage as well as data visualization will be needed as well.

You are a self-going person that likes to take responsibility for your tasks, and you are good at seeing the big picture. You are curious and want to learn new things and share your knowledge with others. You recognize the importance of networking with others, inside as well as outside the team.

Other skills that are seen as merit:

* Enjoy sharing knowledge with others and working transparently
* Active in open source
* Experience in working closely with Data engineers
* Experience in visualization/BI-tool (ex. Apache Superset or other)
* Experiences working with databases, for example ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.
* Structured and skilled in writing and especially documentation of requirements.
* Good presentation and communication skills in English.
