Data Scientist - Computer vision

Digitalization and New Services Unit is responsible in exploring, identifying and accelerating realization of new technology driven business opportunities within Stora Enso. In partnership with business divisions it builds and executes digital roadmaps and develops competencies needed in the future.
Digitalization contributes to Stora Enso’s profitable growth strategy in all stages of the value chain from forest to the customers. We use digital technologies to optimize raw material sourcing, production, supply chain and driving sales through well managed insights of product and market trends. Generally, our digitalization projects aim at developing a competitive advantage by making full use of opportunities coming from digitalization, driving both topline and efficiency.
Job description
We are now looking for a Data Scientist with an emphasis on computer vision and Deep Learning to join our Emerging Technology Center of Excellence. Most of our current use cases are within the field of manufacturing operations and other areas are emerging as well. Based on your experience and interest you will also get to work within other areas of AI/ML. You will also get to learn about practically all new technologies within the realm of digitalization and work in close cooperation with some of the leading experts in the field.
Your main responsibilities are: 
Evaluation, development and scoping of projects within the field of AI/ML, especially computer vision
Advisory related to computer vision
Contribution to our overall Digital Reference Architecture, especially the AI Platform
Development of scalable and state-of-art computer vision workflows

The main technologies we currently use are:
·        Microsoft Azure (basis for our Digital Reference Architecture)
·        Python (Tensorflow, Keras, PyTorch, etc), R, Spark, Databricks
Qualifications:
·        3 years of relevant experience in the field of data science
·        2 years of specialization for computer vision and deep learning
·        Excellent understanding of techniques related to big data analytics
·        Excellent cooperation skills
·        Good understanding of database technologies
·        Experience related to sensor data analytics is considered a plus
·        Understanding of cloud platforms (MS Azure preferred)
·        Fluency in English (spoken and written)
·        Relevant university level degree
·        Readiness to travel (approximately 20 %)
