Production Logistics is part of Group Trucks Operations. We are an organization of approximately 650
colleagues, globally connected to deliver world class logistics solutions. We ensure that transportation is purchased, packaging is made available at our suppliers, material is transported to our production facilities, and vehicles are distributed to our customers on time. We design and optimize the Production Logistics supply chain for the Volvo Group, prepare logistics for new products and drive the Sales & Operations Planning process. Connected Supply Chain, Production Logistics


Our vision is to enable a sustainable, connected, and seamless Production Supply Chain, supporting todays and tomorrow’s business. We lead the digital transformation, by Connecting Business, Data and People, to accelerate the strategy execution in GTO Production Logistics. Our responsibility is to set the digital vision, define our road map and to drive the Digital Supply Chain transformation. We are a skilled and motivated team covering the disciplines of Roadmap, Concept development, End-To-End solution coordination, Business Information Architecture, Advanced analytics, Automation, Data Science and Transformation.

Digitalization is becoming a more integrated part of our business and our transformation journey. We have big plans, and this role will play a vital part in transforming the production supply chain by allowing our operations to digitalize.

You have a strong interest and holistic perspective on how we can transform today’s operation and our Production Supply Chain by utilizing new technology. This position requires a scientific mind-set and engineering skills in analyzing large volumes of complex data to identify business opportunities and to build statistical models.


You will be heavily contributing to our journey to evolve advanced analytics in the production supply chain context. As we aim to increase the data literacy in the full organization you would be an important ambassador of advanced analytics.


To be successful in this role is it also important to be a skilled communicator, who manages stakeholders in a cross functional and multi-cultural environment with ease. You find energy in making a difference and have a positive and pragmatic attitude.


ROLE DESCRIPTION
What we absolutely need you to do
Find and interpret large volume of data, build statistical models, create visualizations, present, and communicate the data insights/findings
Participate in our work to set and realize our Data Strategy ambitions
Together with business explore and suggest areas to apply different types of analytics, machine learning, AI, data modeling, optimization, creating algorithms etc.
Support the organization in competence development in the analytics domain
Participate in relevant analytics project

The ticket to ride
Experience and Skills
Min 2-3 years’ of experience working with advanced analytics, complex systems and optimization
Experience performing analysis with large datasets and deploying analytics solutions in cloud environments
Relevant programming experience (e.g. Python, R, etc.)
A background in Automotive Supply Chain
A creative problem-solver who is passionate about looking for new approaches to reach results
A communicative person that values building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders and can explain complex topics in simple terms
Flexible mindset and a fast learner
Holistic mind-set and strategic approach
Good cooperation skills and a team player
Experience from working in a global & cross functional environment
Comfortable working on your own as well as collaborative in larger projects
Proven strong independent drive and goal-orientation
A degree in mathematics, computer science, statistics, or related area
Fluent in English - both written and spoken
