Join us 
The Technology Acceleration area with Group IT is responsible for establishing the future IT landscape that will be the foundation for PostNord' s continued AI and data driven journey. PostNord is the leader of logistics and postal services in the Nordics. As a Data Scientist at PostNord you will engage in projects, combining technical expertise within areas such data collection and exploration, model development and model deployment and operation. As a Data Scientist, you will are able to independently develop and deploy models, both statistical and machine learning. We are looking for data scientists for our existing ML team which delivers production volume forecast to PostNords business and we are also looking for data scientists to our newly formed AI- and Concept development teams. It is our goal to deploy efficient and accurate models and keep the models up to date through a set of well-defined MLOps practices. 

Job duties 
- Work in an agile team to deliver the best possible data solutions for PostNord. 
- Identify, prepare, explore and analyze data from various data sets.  
- Understand the business requirements and develop ML solutions accordingly. 
- Ensure best practices, such as quality and security, are followed in all stages of the product development life cycle. 
- Identify, collect and analyze data and train new ML models. 
- Collaborate within team boundaries aiming to share knowledge and best practices.  
- Keeps up to date with data science trends in and outside of PostNord.  
- Sound knowledge of statistics and machine learning. 
- take ownership of the teams solutions whether new or old and help establish best in class MLOps .

We are looking for you who have 
- A bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field. 
- At least 3-5 years of work experience 
- Proficiency in Python and at least one of the following frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, or Scikit-learn. 
- Sound knowledge of statistics  
- Strong knowledge of machine learning concepts and techniques, such as supervised and unsupervised learning, classification, regression, clustering, feature engineering, and model evaluation. 
- Experience in applying machine learning methods to real-world data sets and problems, preferably in the domain of production forecasting or time series analysis. 
- Understanding of core AI and ML concepts, algorithms, and their applications 
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions. 
- Experience in working with time series data and using frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Keras for building and training neural network models for forecasting or anomaly detection. 

Your profile as an Associate Data Scientist  
You have worked with statistical analysis and Machine Learning solutions in an agile team before. You like to work hands on, and to work directly with our business stakeholders. You have an academic background and as a person you are curious to learn and evolve your skill set in accordance with the state-of-the-art pace in the domain that you work in.  

Meritorious experience: (Nice-to-have) 
- Experience in developing and deploying end-to-end machine learning pipelines in cloud-based environments (Azure preferred) using tools such as MLflow, Azure ML Studio and Azure DevOps. 
- Experience in working with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and using their services for data storage, processing, and analysis. 
- Data visualisation experience; preferably in Power BI  
- Prior experience implementing generative AI/LLM’s or ML. 
- Experience in applying DevOps principles and practices to machine learning projects, such as version control, testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery. 
- Experience in using containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Helm for building and deploying scalable and reproducible machine learning applications. 

System requirements: 
- Azure ML Studio, Azure DevOps, Azure Open AI (or similar AWS/GCP technologies) 
- Python, Pandas 
- SQL 
- Power BI 

Language requirement: 
Fluent English in speech and writing. Proficiency in at least one Scandinavian language is meritorious.
