Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
Contribute your expertise to various development tasks within the university’s IT department.
Collaborate within a sizable IT department comprised of 140 individuals, organized into four units: User support, Archive and registry, Operation and infrastructure, and System administration and development.
Develop, maintain, and improve the “Kontarion” software solution, catering to the academic sector’s need for data-driven decision support.
Employ agile methodologies throughout the software development lifecycle, including needs analysis, further development, quality control, testing, delivery, and management.
Work closely with other team members and resources on the mission while also engaging in knowledge exchange with unit developers and leaders.

What you bring:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in R programming, including the development of R packages.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in developing solutions based on open-source code.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in data science, with a focus on data visualization.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the delivery, management, and operation of software components using OCI containers.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in database integrations and integrations with web APIs.
Proficiency in both spoken and written Swedish and English, subject to verification during a potential consultant interview.

Preferences (Should):
A minimum of 5 years of experience in system administration of Linux environments.
A minimum of 3 years of experience working with publication data from the academic sector.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in data-driven development of decision support for the academic sector, specifically research activities.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in CI/CD (continuous integration and deployment).
A minimum of 3 years of experience in developing web applications based on R/Shiny.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in Python programming.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in data modeling with RStudio, SAS, or similar tools.
