Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
Joining the development team within the IT department to support research activities through data-driven decision-making.
Enhancing the existing bibliometric follow-up initiated since 2014 and expanding it through the ÅBU project.
Developing tools for data control, integrating various data sources, and creating services to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
Enabling researchers and management to make strategic decisions by providing data-driven analysis.
Utilizing cutting-edge technology to handle large datasets and data flows, with a focus on the Shiny/R framework.
Embracing agile development methodologies and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team comprising research, bibliometrics, statistics, analysis, architecture, and agile method development experts.
Contributing to the IT department’s mission of providing, supporting, developing, and managing IT services, with a focus on business systems, data security, compliance, and long-term information preservation.

What you bring:
Minimum 5 years of experience in R programming, including the development of R packages.
Minimum 5 years of experience in developing solutions based on open-source code.
Minimum 5 years of experience in data science with a strong emphasis on data visualization.
Minimum 5 years of experience in delivering, managing, and operating software components using OCI containers.
Minimum 5 years of experience in database integrations and web API integrations.
Strong proficiency in both spoken and written Swedish and English.
Minimum 5 years of experience in system administration of Linux environments.
Minimum 3 years of experience in working with publication data from the academic sector.
Minimum 3 years of experience in data-driven development for decision support in the academic sector, particularly in research activities.
Minimum 3 years of experience in CI/CD (continuous integration and deployment).
Minimum 3 years of experience in developing web applications based on R/Shiny.
Minimum 2 years of experience in Python programming.
Minimum 2 years of experience in data modeling with RStudio, SAS, or similar tools.
