The main focus of the group is the development of system-level technologies related to future versions of the electrical and electronic architecture. This means that we shall maintain a holistic perspective on the electronic architecture, rather than focusing on individual hardware or software components, and provide future product development projects with competitive solutions for the EE architecture. Data security is one such area, and where we now need to strengthen our team.

Job Summary
As a data security engineer you will engage in developing, researching and maturing new technologies for preventing unauthorized tampering of our on- and off-board systems. Depending on your qualifications, you will have a wide working arena ranging from high-level conceptual development to hands on implementation of data security solutions including process and methodology. This includes both building early prototypes and demonstrators of data security solutions as well as their integration into receiving product projects and development processes. You will be part of an ecosystem of data security experts from a variety of internal and external organisations, such as our own group, different product development organizations in Volvo Group, as well as with our technology partners at universities and suppliers. Experience and interest in other topics related to the EE architecture is an advantage.

Profile and Qualifications
- MSc in Electrical engineering or equivalent
- Broad understanding and at least a few years of relevant experience from industry or academic research in the area of data security
- Experience and interest in embedded and desktop programming
- Experience and interest in wired and wireless communication networks is a merit.
- Genuine interest in exploring new technologies and a desire to be in the forefront of technology
- Creative and innovative mindset
- Ability to drive things to completion
- Easy to get buy-in of ideas and concepts
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
