Our team Storage & Server Virtualization Technologies, supplies Scania with compute and storage capabilities, a mission critical responsibility on which the whole of Scania is dependent.

Within the team we have IT Specialists, Architects and Service Responsible for our different Technical Services. Our group work towards having strong capabilities, On premise as well as meeting Cloud capabilities and Hybrid solutions. We strive to improve our added business value through a combination of continuous service improvement and introduction of new technologies with high speed and flexibility.

About the position
You will be supporting the development of Scania’s Storage environments as well as its maintenance, covering both Data Centers and Public Cloud providers. Working cross functional to assess the Storage needs of the business and securing that the platforms deliver high quality service.

This involves working with a broad range of tasks such as; design, analysis, troubleshooting, implementation, configuration, maintenance and supporting the operational service delivery through our Managed Service Partner.

Tasks included in the position:


• Technical implementation, configuration and maintenance of File/Object, Block storage, SAN and storage virtualisation.
• Development of Scania’s Storage platforms and service delivery.
• Cooperate closely with IT personnel, securing quality of service and alignment of improvements.
• Continuously work with platform configuration, ensuring that storage is performing properly.
• Guide our Managed service Provider in the operational delivery, instructions and tasks.
• Assume other related responsibilities on a case-to-case basis when needed.

We wish that you
Have several years of experience working in a similar role as a File/Object, Block and/or SAN specialist in a large global environment. You have a great working knowledge of Storage Huawei, DellEMC, Hitachi, HP, as well as other storage vendors’ products.You have knowledge of IT Infrastructure, such as Network, Windows/Linux OS, Server virtualization and/or Data protection. You speak and write English with high proficiency and Swedish is a merit.

You are a real team player who gains motivation from taking initiative and driving improvements forward. You value collaborations, sharing knowledge, and having strong interpersonal and communication skills. In addition to that, you are meticulous with a good eye for detail, tech-savvy, curious, and willing to learn new things.
