Database Administrator

Kambi is a leading B2B provider of premium sports betting services for online and retail gambling operators. Our mission is to create the world’s leading sports betting experience, from front-end user interface to customer intelligence, risk management and odds compiling. With offices in Stockholm, Uppsala, London, Malta, Bucharest, Philadelphia and Sydney together with 800 passionate and highly skilled people, we live and breathe sports betting.

We are now looking for a highly motivated Database Administrator to further improve our IT Operations. You will be part of a Stockholm based cross functional group who manages all the services of our platform that enables Kambi to deliver a world class sportsbook. The database team is responsible for the performance, scalability and optimization of Kambi's array of databases.

This is what our DBAs do:

• Works within Kambi's IT operations department
• Provides advice to management on scalability and performance planning
• Works tightly with application and infrastructure specialists as well as liaise with development teams to continue build on our robust and scalable platform
• Understands the tools the organisation uses and needs to be data driven
• Maintain our own codebase for automated installing, testing and releasing as well as monitoring
• Works agile

You'd like to work with these technologies:

• Postgres
• Linux
• Scripting (bash/pyton...)
• MySQL
• Puppet

We expect you to:

• Be focused on working within the data ecosystem and driven to build the best products
• Be confident in your ability to maintain a highly concurrent data platform
• Have experience designing, implementing, testing and tuning quality database solutions (we really like postgres)
• Be knowledgeable of key tools and techniques for maintaining and improving database performance and stability
• Be comfortable working from the command line
• Be a fast learner and have strong ability to collaborate with team members
• Have good written and oral communication skills
