Database Engineer

Your future tasks
The Database Engineer job is a technical job to with a high level of responsibility and exciting projects in an international security technology company. You will manage day-to-day operations in cloud/datacenters, primarily in regards to setup, configuration, optimization and operations of databases. The Database Engineer is part of Service Operations in Professional Services.
Database administration of SQL and non-SQL databases
You will be part of a team installing, configuring, optimizing and operating databases.
Support infrastructure and applications engineers in regards to database topics whenever needed
Perform platform migrations without customer impact
Work closely with our design architects and data center manager to improve our capacity management and planning of solutions
Contribute to improvements to our monitoring, logging and event management

Who you are?
Degree in Computer Sciences, IT, Information System or related Engineering field
Experience in Oracle 12c SE2 / Oracle 19c EE installation and configuration for both single and multi-tenant deployments
Experience in RAC cluster deployment and management
Fluent English skills are mandatory

Technologies
Oracle Enterprise Manager knowledge
Oracle Golden Gate replication knowledge
Oracle Data Guard, RAC, ASM, GRID and RMAN
Database performance tuning and troubleshooting
A good working knowledge of Red Hat Linux, shell scripting
