Database Specialist

We offer

A specialist role where you both participate in and manage projects under IT Operations and our core systems. A role that is key in order to serve the company with good IT services and maintaining our common IT-platform. We will give you challenges working with internally developed services, 3rd part products, microservices and databases.

We will trust your expertise to find room for database improvement and will then give you the tools to plan and deploy these improvements. You will be given the tasks such as system automation, OS patching, database engine installation, configuration and maintenance. You get to work in cross-functional projects, e.g. inter-department with mixed teams, and we are eager to see what you can do for us in terms of automation and orchestration (ansible, docker, kubernetes). We want

We believe you have several years of relevant experience. You are skilled in system automation (preferably ansible) and database administration (MySQL, MariaDB or Cassandra). You’re proficient in Linux and Open Source, and able to do advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis in large scale environments.

We appreciate if you have experience in scripting languages, Kubernetes, docker and knowledge of cloud computing. Overall, we assume you have an in-depth knowledge of managing an enterprise database infrastructure.
