DC Operations Engineer

The Data Center Department is now looking for an Operations Engineer within an international DC Hosting Team. We are looking for open minded person who had technical background to run daily tasks related to Linux systems.
Responsibilities
As an Operations Engineer you will be responsible of troubleshooting problems and incidents within the teams area of responsibility according to agreed processes and way of working. You will develop automation of processes and daily routines and manage internal tools and applications. You are responsible of leading internal assignments, smaller projects and plan and coordinate activities where you document and report status. Further you will:
• Care for security requirements, implement new ones and define new ones
• Care for quality topics especially the documentation, CMDB, and SLA costs
• Join early and late shifts as well as be member of 24/7 on-call duty
• Manage and improve internal handbooks and procedures (server deployment, orchestration and decommissioning, daily maintenance)
• Keep (both on-line and on-site) operational communication with customers and suppliers
Requirements
We believe that you have a bachelors or university degree within relevant field and good knowledge in RedHat Linux systems on deep operational level. You have the ability to do troubleshooting and experience in automation of processes, knowledge about tools and scripting languages. You are fluent in English, written and spoken. Knowledge in Swedish, German or Dutch are beneficial. As a person you are open for changes and feel comfortable in propose them yourself. You are self-going and organized in your work and have strong communicative skills. Other requirements:
• Experience in JBoss Application Platform
• Basic knowledge in Windows Server 2016 maintenance and related functionality, ability to resolve basic incidents
• Basic knowledge about organization of Data Center infrastructure (Server hardware, Storage, Network (DC LAN and SAN), AD, Security and DC facility such as cooling, racks etc.)
• Basic knowledge in different virtualization tools (VMWare, Hyper-V, OpenStack)
• Basic knowledge in Cloud Services (Azure, AWS)
• Basic experience in Project or Service Management
• Knowledge in ITIL processes as well Agile way of working
Meritorious certificates:
• RedHat certificate
• ITIL foundation certificate
• VMware or Microsoft certificates could be seen as an advantage

Location: Sweden (Solna) or Poland (Gliwice/Katowice).
