Dealer Inventory Management (DIM) – a Volvo Group VMI business concept supporting our dealers in achieving uptime for our customers – managed by a function within Supply Chain Optimization and regional coach teams. We are on a transformation journey to migrate our digital solution into new technology platforms and from there drive an ambitious improvement journey towards better capabilities for optimizing our supply chain and bring simplicity for our dealers. Embedded in this is a cultural transformation blending business and IT into a value driven, cloud native platform using DevOps, agile and lean mindset.
What you will do
In this role you will be part of a team driving both digital and process development of the DIM concept and Dealer coach role. You will drive and facilitate our collaboration networks to ensure regional involvement and alignment. In addition to this you can assume responsibility to be a digital driver supporting our DevOps teams – adding new capabilities, as well as evaluating, trimming and maintaining existing products. Other areas may include networking with academia and other external companies for a deeper visionary understanding of our future processes, roles and competences.
Who we think you are
We are looking for an enthusiastic and inclusive profile who enjoys working in a team and multiple networks within an international environment. You communicate openly and have the ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment. You ensure that we have an inclusive, explorative and adaptive way of developing the DIM business concept and associated roles. Previous experience of dealer business development and/or supply chain planning or optimization is preferred. We also think you have good knowledge in driving digital development and applying an agile way of working and lean mindset.
The SML organization is global and the job will give you the opportunity to work with people from a wide range of nationalities and cultures. You will report to the Head of Dealer Inventory Management (DIM) and be part of the DIM management team. The position is located in Gothenburg.
