POSITION DESCRIPTION

If yes, then this is the job for you! There is now an opportunity to join the Dealer Inventory Management (DIM) Gent & EU team as a Dealer Logistics Coach.
Taking on this position you will be working in a highly skilled team that is responsible for the DIM performance for around 900 Volvo Trucks and Volvo Penta dealers. All with the focus to secure uptime for Volvo Truck and Volvo Penta product owners through securing spare parts availability at dealers in most cost-effective way. You will do this by work close to the Volvo Trucks and/or Volvo Penta sales organizations, setting and following joint plans to secure our dealers run the Volvo Group inventory management concepts in the best way. Your work will be carried out in a global environment as the team’s area of responsibility is stretching from northern Norway down to the Middle East.
What could your day look like?
Well, we can promise you that not every day will be the same as the one before. You will be the main contact for the dealer and sales organization when it comes to the inventory management and logistics process at the dealer. For example you will work closely with monitoring, analyze and coach/support your markets and dealers to reach excellent inventory management performance (availability of spare parts at dealer, Dealer stock Turnover rate, Healthy stock ratio, Order classes usage,…). Whenever and wherever (Dealer, sales organization and internally) the knowledge of the dealer inventory management concept needs to be raised, you will be the one managing this. If we are starting up new Volvo Trucks and/or Volvo Penta centers, you will be the one driving and coaching the dealer in how to run the concept to get best effect from it. In the end your mission is all about secure wanted dealer concept usage on the Volvo Group DIM concept. Apart from all of these exciting tasks we will also need you on our continuous improvement journey by exploring new technologies to design tomorrow’s supply chain. And of course, you will contribute to an excellent working climate and culture in alignment with our Volvo Group values.

You are a skilled communicator with professional skills in English,. If you also speak German that would great for this role. On top of that, we also imagine that you are passionate about trying new things and are always looking to expand your knowledge. We don’t think that you are an expert in all the technical aspects of the job we do, but you have the real will and mindset to explore, learn and develop.
Some examples of areas where we want you to either already have some experience or feel strong curiosity for are BI-tools (we mainly use Qlikview and Power BI) and Coding (we mainly use Python, and SQL)
