Tetra Pak is using a fact-based decision mindset to deliver added value to our customers. The Decision Science organization’s mission is to promote, develop, audit and sustain the use of Facts on Decision Making. We lead Tetra Pak Business Strategy Capability: Leveraging Advanced Analytics and support Tetra Pak’s Digital Transformation programme. Our objective is to provide company-wide collaboration and communication of digital transformation activities, delivering critical digital capabilities from a central hub, improving prioritisation and effective decision making.
We are now looking for a Decision Science Manager to play a lead role in our Decision Science team, participate in various projects, influence business decisions and drive digital transformation. This role will engage with the leadership and others on the executive management team to share the vision and progress as member of the Global Decision Science Centre of Expertise at Tetra Pak.
This position is based in Lund, Sweden.
What you will do
Participate in decision science projects: defining decision challenges with the business, proving the value of new fact-based decision approach and testing it in real life.
Play a lead role in driving design process, development, test, implement and deployment of decision science solutions.
Identifying cognitive biases as opportunities for leveraging decision science methods.
Nudge key decision makers to maximize the use of a fact-based decision approach.
Working closely with Business stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to review expected outputs and applicability to the business challenge.
Identify and take part in operationalization of valuable insights from the data into business and digital applications.
Partner with internal/external stakeholders, product owners and team members and drive product development plans.
People Leader: Manage, lead and coach a team of Data Scientists.
Drive methodological innovations into decision science and digital products in the different functional areas such as services, product development, supply chain, operations optimization and similar domains.
Who you are
We believe that you have strong leadership skills with proven ability to influence and create buy in with important stake holders and commitment to change management.
Translating complex matters and communicating them in an understandable way comes natural to you. You have a strong business acumen coupled with advanced analytics expertise.
You have at least 7 years professional / research experience in Decision Science, ideally applied on different industries. Finance and Economics functional domain experience. Different functions of an organisation experience (Operations, Marketing & Sales, Quality…) is a plus.
You have an advanced degree such as MSc or PhD in Applied/Behavioural/Experimental Economics, Operation Research or Business Analytics. You have a background or profile in Data Science: Statistics, Predictive Modelling and Optimization methods. With excellent track record of scientific coding, using languages like Python or R. Furthermore, you have the willingness to build on and experiment with cloud data science platforms. Excellent written and verbal English skills are essential.
