Delivery Engineer

Experis Engineering finds and retains the most qualified engineers in the labour market. We are now looking for two consultants for long term assignments as Delivery Engineers at our customer, a telecom company in Stockholm.



Job description
The Delivery Engineer is responsible for Change and Release management activities, such as configuration of the technical systems and deployment of new adapters and connections. Also ensuring that standardized methods and procedures are used for efficient and prompt handling of all changes, in order to minimize the impact of change-related incidents upon service quality, and consequently improve the day-to-day operations of the organization.

Act as 3rd line support towards the support organization for Problem management and deeper technical analysis.

Qualifications
Profile MSc. or other academic degree in Computer Science or Engineering, in combination with related work experience.

Experience from working within both Linux/Unix and Windows.

ITIL certification and/or experience are an advantage.

Experience in Java technology and J2EE is an advantage.

Documented previous experience from technical operations or support.

Personal traits:
• Ability to work independently and a good team player.
• Strong drive in initiating, executing and completing given work tasks.
• Thorough and a good ability to understand risks.
• Very good skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Structured with good documentation skills.
• Analytical and very good ability to quickly get an overall picture and see connections between different types of data.
