Delivery Engineer with Frontend skills

Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

The need for digitalisation in our service network is great and we have many exciting initiatives ongoing. In order for us to provide our workshops with correct information in a quick and intuitive way, we are transforming our products and services to a micro service architecture in the cloud. It is a challenging technology shift and we are right in the middle of this journey.

We have a DevOps culture were our system development teams are responsible for the development and operations of their domain. In order for our system development teams to focus on business value, we have a Delivery Engineering team with experts on everything cloud-related, service standard as code, delivery pipelines etc who acts as enablers for the other teams. This is where you come in.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who have a developer background and have also worked with setting up and managing delivery pipelines for micro services in the cloud.    

In addition to that you have a solid competence in frontend development, since that is also part of the teams portfolio.

You have documented experience in several of the following techniques: AWS, Frontend development (Angular), CI/CD (GitLab)

It is a plus if you have worked in agile teams and you need to have some experience in areas like DevOps, JavaScript, Node, Docker, AWS, Python, Scaffolding (Yeoman), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Serverless, CloudFormation)'. You have an academic degree in Computer Science or similar

    You:

    are good at understanding and communicating solutions on both concept and detailed levels

    are familiar with and have an interest in the latest technologies in digital strategies

    are familiar with patterns and concepts for cloud based development

    are thorough, quality minded and responsive as well as service minded and security conscious

    enjoy working in teams where helping each other is a part of the culture
