Role Summary
As a Delivery Lead for the Electrolux Direct to Consumer (D2C) channel, you will be responsible for managing a combined team of internal and external software product teams ensuring successful delivery of agile product increments of the e-commerce software products in a highly integrated consumer landscape. This role provides a unique opportunity for you to define, develop and run an agile software product delivery capability within Electrolux and grow it to a fully scalable product team’s set-up.
In this role you will be accountable for the central governance of the delivery team in all its sub-processes (planning, development, QA, release, etc.) and responsible for the agile delivery process of the software product teams, from build, test through to successful technical enablement of software product releases. As an agile delivery lead you will also act as the Agile subject matter expert and be the escalation point for all delivery related matters supporting internal and vendor delivery teams unblocking functional, technical and resource impediments. You will interact with delivery leads of other Electrolux software product organizations to make sure that the joint planning and delivery process work effectively by identifying and removing critical impediments.
You will have line management responsibility for the key delivery functions, hence coordinating, managing and supporting scrum masters and engineering professionals (developers and QA engineers) to successfully deliver cross-functional integrated solutions. You will also manage the staffing of external capacity with the delivery partners by coordinating with partner’s delivery managers. You will report to the Technology and Delivery Manager in a key role strengthening scaled agile and Scrum practices throughout the organization, ensuring that everyone is sufficiently supported to act in an autonomous and in self-organized teams.
The successful candidate will be also expected to take care of the relationships with external delivery partners (including the financial flows) and leading big-ticket initiatives (RFPs, explorations, strategic plans, etc.).
What you’ll need
To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate experience in managing agile delivery through software product development teams and a clear understanding of iterative software development and of incremental product deliveries in a matrix organization. Previous experience working in a Scrum Master or Product Owner role managing software development teams is essential, experience with scaled agile processes will be a plus. You will need to be able to communicate effectively with a multitude of people across IT, business, and vendor teams including senior stakeholders and be capable of exercising conflict resolution. You will advocate for agile methodology and a coaching ability, with an eye for process, reporting and analysis. Experience undergoing a waterfall to agile product team transition previously would be considered advantageous, as well as having led alignment between agile release trains and waterfall business go-live(s). If you have experience from working in a technical landscape that is made of e-commerce software products combined with a micro-service based architecture will be an added advantage.
Requirements
· Experience in guiding implementation of software product teams, leading the organizational design and addressing technical leadership challenges that come with scaling many dependent software development teams
· Experience working alongside or managing software solution vendors
· Experience in implementing software testing and release management practices, as well as successful delivery of high-quality consumer facing solutions
· Strong leadership, stakeholder management, planning, organization, decision making and time management skills.
· High level of flexibility with a strong ability to lead others successfully through cultural, process, technology and business transformational change
· Agile/Scrum and scaled agile coaching
· Previous experience managing a team, including people management duties
