Position and Person Details
Volvo Cars has been investigating the causes and consequences of traffic accidents for decades. In general, this is done using two complementary methods: a) a large-scale collection of data and information about real-world crashes and b) in-depth investigations of single cases providing insights on crash and injury mechanisms and performance of the car’s safety functions in event of a crash or an accident.

The in-depth investigations have been operational since 1970 and cover a variety of activities including collecting data at the accident scene, interviewing the drivers and other people involved, investigating performance of safety functions of the car, and causes of the crash and injuries. These insights are basis for decisions and actions that help us in building cars that protect both its occupants and other road users even better.

The Role:
As a delivery lead for the in-depth analysis at traffic accident research you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end deliverables, owning and developing the team’s work process and the results toward the intended goals and outcomes.

You will be required to visit the accident scene, interact and communicate with law enforcement and emergency service personnel.
One substantial expectation on this role is to govern and optimize this primarily data driven investigation process which is shaped in close collaboration with stakeholders.
