Planning, Tracking and Slotting is part of Technology, a new function within Volvo Group Digital & IT with a big stake in the Group’s digital transformation. Technology will modernize Volvo’s core digital backbone making it a platform for digital products.
Planning and Slotting are responsible for core IT solutions responsible for truck production planning and truck assembly sequencing. Our digital talents develop capabilities and digital technologies to improve business performance and create value for the Group with speed and at scale.
We collaborate with other parts of the organization, both in Group IT, with TD/BAs and Group Functions. We foster an environment where ideas, thoughts and opinions can be shared. We are team players with clear common ambitions, and we win together.

Our OPT/CSO team, in Gothenburg is growing fast and ramping up with new roles and competences.
We are developing “in-house” .NET solutions used by the whole Volvo Group Truck Organization.
The team consists of highly skilled Solution Architects, Software Engineers, Solution Engineers and Solution Leader, with great Volvo domain knowledge and very experienced in software development, and agile WoW methods.
This is how you could make an impact
You will belong to a team, supporting our users in development, release and maintenance of .NET software using Volvo’s architecture(s). Our developed services are essential for the GTO factories.
Recently we have started to build a new generation front end. It’s a big step in modernization. Next steps are modernizing back end and a full move to an Azure Cloud architecture. And we want you to drive this ‘Perform & Transform’ journey as we now move ahead with keeping Quality high.
You will, as a Delivery Leader, be reporting to the Delivery Manager.
In this role you will…:
Be responsible for an agile Delivery-team, consisting of Software Engineers, Solution Engineers and Solution Architects.
Work closely with the Solution Leader to have the right focus and pace
Have the main responsibility of keeping quality high, executing and follow-up of deliveries from the team
Together with the team, deliver from a prioritized backlog including ‘New development’ as well as Maintenance and Support to users.
Look forward to the future, be prepared and set a pace for modernization
You will be a coordinator and a person to go to related to your team’s deliveries and involved in different running internal IT- as well as Business-projects.
Share knowledge across the different delivery teams, by interacting with other Delivery Leaders in the group.
Secure that competences are the right ones for your team-members.
Set targets for team deliverables.
You will drive Change Management activities, innovations and secure that deliveries are aligned with company guidelines and security directives.
You will contribute to an acceleration of our DevSecOps-journey and continuously improve speed of delivery and agility.
Simply, making sure we are great in Software development!
Who are you?
First of all, you are a natural leader, with strong soft skills, having the ability to motivate your team and the ones you are working with.
You have experience in Software development or have good understanding of how software is developed.
You are familiar working in Agile and DevOps - style.
Good communication and analytical skills.
Structured documentation.
Ability to delegate.
You enjoy being in an innovative environment where you have the possibility to shape the future, rather than getting everything prepared on beforehand.
You will be a good fit if
You have 3+ years of managing teams.
