Technology is a new function within Group Digital & IT with a big stake in the Group’s digital transformation. We will modernize Volvo’s core digital backbone making it a platform for digital products. Our Foundational IT products are used by digital product teams and enable them and their products to outperform Volvo’s competitors. Our digital talents develop capabilities and digital technologies to improve business performance and create value for the Group with speed and at scale.

We collaborate with other parts of the organization, both in Group Digital & IT and other Group Functions. We foster an environment where ideas, thoughts and opinions can be shared. We are team players with clear common ambitions, and we win together!


This is how you could make an impact


You will be responsible for a team of 15 people providing solutions within the Configuration/Bus Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) domain. The team consists of Architect, Software & Solution engineers.

You will be part of PLM+ Configuration & Aftermarket management team within Technology CPA PDM & PLM and report to the Head of PLM+ Configuration & Aftermarket.

In your role, you are adding value by developing high performing teams and building great collaboration with the stakeholders & partners in your deliveries. In addition, you are driving the change management necessary to reach the transformation goals and support executing the Volvo Group PLM and CAD portfolio strategy.

You will have the full end2end responsibility for developing and maintaining solution. These will be some of your responsibilities:
Implement the North Star architecture - Driven through one of our focus area that embraces the legacy and unlocks value with a modern, layered and modular architecture.
Build engagement, inclusiveness and improve overall performance
Develop solid relationships with main stakeholders within the user community, vendors, and partners
Develop and nurture our innovation culture
Be accountable for meeting SLAs (Service Level Agreements), and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
Accelerate the DevSecOps journey and continuously improve speed and agility
Make sure we are great in Software development!

Who are you?

To be successful in this position you need the ability to create engagement, be a coach and secure execution of related vision and strategy. You are a skilled communicator with a strong sense of making people feel included. As a foundation, you have a relevant University degree and experience in leading people within IT or Engineering. You have experience from inhouse developed software, agile transformation and most important, a big interest in people and how to support them to achieve great results. A plus (but not mandatory) to have some high level knowledge of Configuration domain.

Furthermore, you have the managerial courage to take well evaluated risks, address stakeholders on different levels and challenge when necessary. In addition to this, you are a passionate believer in continuous learning. You should feel energized by working both independently and interdependently, have proven skills in cross-functional collaboration and thrive in managing, foster and enable both the perform and the transform angles of the job.
