Analytics & BI Delivery is a new function and part of the DATA organization within Group Digital & IT with the goal to unlock the power of data for the full Volvo Group to become a fully data-driven company! With data, the core component of our transformation journey, we will, together with our data talents, make the Volvo Group 2030 vision happen. We have an ambitious transformation in front of us, with an implementation of the Data Layer in Azure as well as the reinforcement of Data Governance and Data Management in the full Group.
We collaborate with other parts of the organization, in Group Digital & IT with TD/BAs and Group Functions. We foster an environment where ideas, thoughts and opinions can be shared. We are team players with clear common ambitions, and we win together.
In Analytics & BI we drive the delivery, focused on fulfilling the business needs within different data and analytics domains, in close collaboration with the key stakeholders and users.
This is how you could make an impact:
We are now looking for a colleague to join the Advanced Analytics & BI Delivery team for Data in the position as Delivery Manager. Your role is to enable and to secure deliveries of data- and value driven digital products within the area of logged vehicle data.
As a Delivery Manager you are leading a selected part of our product deliveries towards the TD/BA’s, you act as an orchestra conductor with a clear view that everyone needs to play their part synchronized and with a transparency of what will happen next. You carry a strong business value focus, at the same time you have technical insights to be an active part of joint dialogues and creations of road maps, lifecycle management of products, and you actively pay attention to operational hurdles and impediments. You are an active learner and contribute with new insights in Analytics and how emerging analytics technology could best serve your business area of responsibility at the same time as you take pride in optimizing value on already deployed and running solutions. Furthermore, you will shape the way we deliver value to customers, have a key role in the journey towards transforming the deliveries towards an agile approach. You will work with multiple DevSecOps teams that includes diverse competencies in the field of delivery leader, data engineers, architects, data analysts and business analysts.
These are some selected responsibilities:
Setting the strategy and roadmap for your delivery / product area in close collaboration with Product Owners and Line Management
Prioritizing the portfolio of digital product solutions and capabilities together with the customer
Leveraging the North Star Architecture to release differentiated business solutions decoupled from our core solutions
Driving modernization and transformation towards decoupled digital products
Securing proper staffing and agile way of working (DevSecOps) and be a strong advocate for Agile mindset and practices across the product teams – in collaboration with chapters
Lead with a product ownership approach, product lifecycle management from idea to decommission
Innovate on areas supporting value, quality, performance, and speed to market on our Data domains and Analytics products
Be the coordinating part for different stakeholders and suppliers adding up to the products supplied by our teams
Evaluate Backlogs and Roadmaps and translate them into human and tech resources as well as budgets
Follow up and forecasting on cost, deliveries, and value contribution
Create and support SLAs when needed
Foster an open, honest, and collaborative mindset within the team and with stakeholders
Have a transparent communication to all stakeholders including users and customers
Who are you?
We believe you want to take your career to the next level, working with amazing people around the world. To be successful in this position we believe you have a university degree or equivalent, and several years of experience in the field of data & analytics.
In your previous roles, you have delivered value by creating state of the art analytic and BI applications for critical business usage and understand the latest development in the data management area and how this can be applied to Analytics & BI. Furthermore, it is beneficial if you have experience from logged vehicle data and manage the products and deliveries with a roadmap approach.
The right candidate will be able to operate and implement digital products effectively, dealing with ambiguity, and managing changing priorities. You should be passionate about driving transformation in a business focused, fact-based, and collaborative way to achieve real impact. This role requires solid communication skills and a passion for inspiring and delivering innovative digital solutions.
In addition to this, you are a passionate believer in continuous learning. You should feel energized by working both independently and interdependently, have proven skills in cross-functional collaboration and thrive in managing, foster, and enable both the perform and the transform angles of the job.
