R&DP Solutions, Virtual Lifecycle Management is a function within Group IT with a big stake in the Groups digital transformation. We will modernize Volvo´s core digital backbone making it a platform for digital products. Our Foundational IT products are used by digital product teams and enable them and their products to outperform Volvo’s competitors. Our digital talents develop capabilities and digital technologies to improve business performance and create value for the Group with speed and at scale.


We collaborate with other parts of the organization, both in Group IT, with TD/BAs and Group Functions. We foster an environment where ideas, thoughts and opinions can be shared. We win together!


This is how you could make an impact


As Delivery Manager Virtual Manufacturing, you will be key in the execution of the Digital & IT Strategy. In this role, you will be an important contributor to the transformation of the IT landscape in Volvo Group. You will enable the shift to a modern, agile and cost-efficient delivery organization. You will be part of the Core WC & VM management team and report to Delivery Manager Core WC & VM. These are the main expectations on you:


Nurture digital talents focused on Product Lifecycle Management and Virtual Manufacturing and create an organization that is curious and hungry to learn. That takes pride in understanding the market and know what good looks like.
Lead the journey to modernize Product Lifecycle Management and Virtual Manufacturing.
Build solid relationships with vendors & partners.
Build and act in a solid network within Volvo to be able to deliver the value identified as most prioritized at all times.
Demonstrate an inclusive leadership, and you communicate at ease with your team of approximately 10 dedicated and highly skilled professionals located in Europe and Asia.


Who are you?


We believe you want to take your career to the next level, working with amazing people around the world. To be successful in this position, you have a university degree or equivalent and several years of experience from leading positions. You have extensive experience from IT management in Virtual Manufacturing or Product Lifecycle Management. We also believe that this role requires solid communication skills and a passion for building and motivating world class, high performing teams.

In addition to this you are a passionate believer in continuous learning. You will also need to have proven skills in cross-functional collaboration and thrive in managing, foster and enable both the Perform and the Transform angles of the job.

The location for the position is flexible with location in Gothenburg (SE) as preferred location. Other main Group IT locations could be considered.
