Demand and Inventory Planner – Help us improve our supply chain
Demand and Inventory Planning at Volvo Group
My job is to keep society running. I do that by making sure that Volvo CE machines keep running uninterrupted all over the world. Together with other talented people from a diversity of backgrounds and with a wide variety of skills we make sure that spare parts are available when they are needed in a sustainable distribution network with thousands of dealerships.
To make that magic happen we marry supply chain knowledge with advanced analytics, like machine learning and artificial intelligence, in an exploratory environment where organization and hierarchy are less important.
Our contribution is to forecast spare parts demand and optimize the inventory to manage that demand through a close collaboration with Volvo Construction Equipment and the rest of Service Market Logistics. We do that by building our own cloud native solution which will be at the center of everything that we do.
You will combine operational work as well as develop tools and solutions for improving forecasting and inventory management performance. This by combining traditional techniques with future technology and combing large data sets with new algorithms using Python, Java, SQL in an Azure environment.
We think that you can join us on the transformation journey if you are:
Skilled in data analytics and able to tell a story based on data
Capable of understanding a global, ever-changing supply chain
Curious to leave well-trodden paths and engage cross functionally
An ambitious self-starter who enjoys a good challenge and creative problem solving
Able to manage deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Interest or experience in skills within coding using Python, SQL, Java
Interest or experience in skills within agile working methods combined with Azure, DevOps and release management
Proficient in effective English communication with peers and senior management
