Demand Planner

Arla is looking for a dynamic, highly motivated Demand Planning Specialist who will play a critical role in ensuring operational and financial success for the organization.

About the role
You will be one of Demand Planning team of 8 specialists in Sweden. You are responsible for developing the sales forecasts for Arla and presenting demand to stakeholders as well as management committee in Monthly S&OP process. You will manage and leverage the Demand Planning system (APO) and routines as essential resources to create and review statistical forecasts by gathering, analyzing, and validating data. Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results. You will identify risks and trade-offs against the business objectives by using statistical forecasting models in and deliver a scenario planning to evaluate how proposed plans may impact the business. You will play a strategic role and provide analytical supports to stakeholders to make right decision to achieve business goals & objectives.

Ensure Forecasts Accuracy and Bias through the piloting of S&OP process
Secure forecast consistency, through a consensus between the commercial trend & forecast, category growth ambition and the financial budget
Participate demand excellence project for improvement of the sales forecast practices. Bring your experiences to enhance the knowledge of stakeholders


Who are you?
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience
You have +3 years previous experience within a similar position and preferably FMCG (but we’re also opened for a new graduate with a great leadership traits)
You are an advanced excel user (VLOOKUPS, PIVOT Tables, IF Statements, etc.)
You have a deep understanding of the Sales and Operations Planning process
You are motivated by achieving results, and managing complexity in a quick paced environment
You have strong analytical aptitude with a shown ability interpret data
You are able to communicate in a confident and articulate manner
Ability to analyze large amounts of data for developing projections and estimates
You are capable for establishing and using relationships with key partners
SAP APO (Advanced Planner and Optimizer) and knowledge of Power BI preferred
Knowledge of statistical and mathematical computer programs and modeling techniques preferred
You have a strong work ethic
