Company Description
The role of IKEA Components within IKEA is to develop and supply IKEA with customer friendly component solutions for better products – and better homes. Our role is to take the responsibility for selected components and raw-material, which means develop, purchase and supply to IKEA suppliers. IKEA Components also have the assignment to provide After Sales service of components to the end customers. Our business is global and employs 1400 people based mainly in Sweden, Slovakia and China.

Job Description
As a Demand Planner you will be responsible of predicting the buying behaviour and demand for Components and/or Raw material on a global level. You will get a chance to utilize your analytical and communicative skills to improve our forecast from the start of a product development all the way to the customer. You will get deep knowledge about our total IKEA value chain, including raw materials and components which will create a solid base of IKEA knowledge that will benefit you throughout your IKEA career. You will get the chance to impact your ways of working and how we should work in the future. You will belong to an organisation with a value driven culture where Simplicity, Cost-consciousness and Different with a meaning are key components in creating the IKEA spirit.
And what do we offer you in this assignment?
You will act as the link between Sales and Supply, turning in depth analysis of our sales history and other sources of input into an accurate forecast that is used to secure the availability at lowest total cost of components. In addition, you will get the chance to be involved or lead projects and assignments that will create better working conditions for yourself and your colleagues. You will contribute in building a smarter, slimmer and more cost-effective supply chain, enabling availability at the lowest possible cost!
Qualifications
To succeed & shine as a Demand Planner:
You are working in a complex and changing world. The successful candidate has a flare for explaining complex relationships in an easy and straightforward way. Since forecasting is a numbers game you will also need strong analytical skills. You are a true team player that thrives in an environment where it is important to build strong relationships with stakeholders within the organisation. We also see that you:
Have solid experience from supply chain
Are proactive in taking the lead in motivating and inspiring others
Have the ability to work with a holistic perspective, through the whole chain from supplier to customer, as well as the capability to be in the fine details
Are open-minded and flexible in ad-hoc situations
Are a great communicator that can construct and explain scenarios in an easy to understand manner.
Have experience or big interest in digital solutions such as: advanced analytics, Machine learning, BI-tools.

At IKEA Components you work very close with stakeholders across the total IKEA value chain and there are plenty of future opportunities for development. We are also just in front of major changes to ways of working, driven by a new planning platform that will be implemented in a near future, giving you the chance to be part of this journey from day 1.
