During this 1 year assignment as a Demand Planner you will be at the centre of forecasting and will have an important influence on ensuring to exceed the customer’s expectations.


You will be responsible for the management of the demand planning processes to support business requirements in Sweden. You’ll work with Sales and Marketing colleagues to create product forecasts for the catalogue of products and communicate these to the centralised Scandinavian Procurement Team. The role is accountable for delivering credible and accurate forecasts, thereby contributing to effectively managing demand and inventory within the supply chain. You’ll be actively involved in driving forward forecasting improvements to support and achieve challenging targets.

Your key job accountabilities

• Working directly with your marketing and commercial colleagues to create and maintain the best possible forecast in a collaborative manner, using the appropriate best practise methodologies.
• You will demonstrate high integrity to develop and manage the relationship with marketing, commercial, procurement and distribution.
• Optimise forecast accuracy and drive this as a business priority. Achieve this through gap analysis and present this in a clear manner to drive actions.
• Participate in collaborative forecast and planning meetings, supporting the marketing and commercial teams by delivering service with excellence.
• Ensure efficient product life cycle management.
• Ensure the forecasting cycle and key milestones are respected.
• Present and convince senior management to endorse proposed forecast and communicate approved forecasted volumes to the wider business and other key stake holders.
• Ensure effective local implementation of new forecasting tools and processes.

You will build strong relationships within the Swedish and Scandinavian Supply Chain teams, as well as relationships across the defined Products Division business. You will build a network of contacts within the supply chain of key customers as you develop collaborative forecasting processes.

Qualifications required

Degree level
At least two years experience in a fast-paced, supply chain environment

Essential skills required

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate an understanding in demand planning processes and techniques, preferably in the FMCG industry. You must also be able to demonstrate a team-orientated approach in addition to the following:
• Ability to plan and prioritise effectively taking into account deadlines and resources
• Ability to negotiate
• Experience of working proactively, using own initiative and action and results orientated to focus on outcomes and drive actions
• A flexible approach to work
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to build good relationships
• Analytical approach and consistent attention to detail
• Problem solving skills
• SAP knowledge and experience preferred but not essential
• IT literate with advanced excel skills.
