Demand Planner within FMCG industry

We are currently looking for an experienced Demand Planner to one of our exciting clients within the FMCG industry. This is a 6-month fixed-term assignment to start, with a possibility for extension.

Job Description: As a Nordic Demand Planner you will be reporting to the Nordics Planning & Activity Manager. You will manage the forecasting process on the long/mid and short-term horizon in tight cooperation with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Customer Service. You will also facilitate the S&OP process across the Nordics, ensuring there is quality input from commercial teams and aligned financial forecast view with the finance team. Other than this your main responsibilities in this role will be:

Forecast baseline and plan demand (operational & tactical) with a focus on Categories & Channels:

- run analysis on historical data and history ‘cleaning’

- collect and agree baseline assumptions, run forecasting models


Enrich statistical forecasts with special events on market or products based on inputs from marketing, sales, customer service:

- collect market and commercial plans and assumptions

- collect product life cycle information


Animate the Demand Planning process on short/mid and long term:

- facilitate meetings between functions to gain consensus on one single forecast as part of the monthly S&OP process

- ensure consistency of forecast from period to period, tracking and explaining changes and help identify risks and opportunities

- define worst case/realistic case/best case scenarios together with clear assumptions


Measure and manage the continuous improvement of forecast accuracy


Actively participate in the monthly S&OP cycle by facilitate Demand Review & Country S&OP meetings


Maintain system data on managed brands


Suitable Background: 1-3 years’ experience in Demand Planning and with S&OP


Previous background within FMCG or Pharma preferable but not a must


Your Profile:    To excel in this role, we see that you are a self-driven, independent and pro-active person with excellent communication skills. Other than this we also see that you are/have:

Analytical skills, easiness with data analysis


Fluent in English (Fluency in Swedish an advantage but not mandatory)


Very important that you have good skills in Excel and PowerPoint


Excellent presentation and communication skills
