What’s in it for you?
In product stream Connected Experience our purpose is to develop and deliver Infotainment, Connectivity and Cloud Platform and world-class digital user experience. We are also responsible for Complete Vehicle Diagnostics system and end-to-end platform for diagnostic monitoring & vehicle data collection.

As a Department Manager of HW and Mechatronics within Connected Experience, you will be responsible for all HW and Mechatronics development (together with Tier1) for all units within the scope of our product stream. This is covering all our key responsibilities such as Audio solution, Telematics, Wireless and Infotainment. This is also where our main supplier interfaces are. Supplier base is global with many interfaces in Asia, Europe and Americas.

You will have a very large cross functional network such as Purchase, Product strategy, Complete Vehicle, Release, Manufacturing and Quality.

What you'll do
You will build an empowered leadership team to support speed and quality of impacted main value flows asll well as create prerequisites and culture in the organization that supports continuous improvement. You are to ensure that technical strategies and objectives are set in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders. You will facilitate transparent communication along with proactively work with competence development to assure the right competence in line with strategies. You are to recruit highly skilled individuals in line with identified capacity, wanted culture and competence needs. You will take complete responsibility for all operations in the department/ART by addressing issues with relevant stakeholders. As a part of Connected Experience leadership team, you will define and drive the Connected Experience strategy towards the business goals of Volvo Cars.

Who you are
You will carry a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Mechatronics science (or similar). You will bring at least 5+ years of experience from leadership roles within R&D preferably also covering leader of leader roles. You have proven ability of systematically driving change in large organizations as well as strong verbal and writing communication skills in English and in Swedish.

You bring very strong leadership skills, high integrity, proven ability of building engagement and developing people. You are a servant leader who inspires others and creates energy. You are self-driven with a proven ability to challenge, take own initiatives and a drive to succeed. You are collabortive, transparent and flexible. You have the ability to show courage and build confidence. You have excellent communication skills, proven ability of building long term relationships with employees, internal stakeholders as well as external relations. Last but not least you bring analytical skills and a holistic mind-set.
